Integration Insights: A Journey Through Diversity
I also have a subject called Integration in Different Fields.
This is about the history and demography of migration in Europe and in the world.
It´s like an overview of integration projects in Flanders, in which we learn about different fields and are taught several areas, such as, culture, sport, education...
I go to class with a lot of Immigration and Refugee students, which makes it very different from other classes and very enriching.
It's true that I don't love the class because I think that what we teach is not related to what I study, but it's a way to practice my English and discover other things.
I would like them to connect everything we learn with education. I think it would be more interesting.
However, we have made some trips, where we have learnt about migration, colonization, other cultures and the demography of other countries.
Also, I would like to highlight our first assignment, which was to explain our migration story, based on what we saw in the Red Star Line Museum in Antwerp. I think it was an interesting activity in order to explain ourselves and to relate it to the excursion.
Here are some pictures of my classes and the excursions we have done; the Red Star Line Museum and the Africa Museum.
I hope you like this post. See you tomorrow!
