Teaching Tango: Dancing Through Spanish Classrooms

Good evening guys!

Today I finished my traineeships at Frères and Maricolen schools and I wanted to share with you my experience.

It was wonderful to be able to attend the Spanish classes taught by local teachers. They treated us very well and helped us a lot. It was a very exciting experience and of course a great opportunity to learn new things.

I was able to see how the classes are taught here and I also did several workshops. I had some challenges, like adapting each workshop to the number of students, their age or the level of Spanish they knew.

For example, in Maricolen we even had to do the lesson in English because there was a misunderstanding with the teacher and we had prepared it in Spanish, like in the other school. In spite of this, I was lucky to have Tom and Hannelore, teachers from Freres and Iulia, from Maricolen, who were attentive and helped us at all times.

I have tried to explain in the best possible way the traditions of Spain, play games and learn new words, and from the feedback I have received, I think they liked it a lot and it went as I expected.

I´m thrilled to have been able to do it and I hope to come back in the future!

Thanks for listening to me one more day and see you soon. And as always, here are some photos and a video of these lovely weeks.
