Graphing Globes: Learning Beyond Borders

Hello again!! Today I want to talk about the subject called English for Exchange Students. As its name says, it is for exhcange students, that´s why I go to class with many of my Spanish friends :)

I love these classes because they are an opportunity to practice my English and learn more. We had several sessions, but today I want to tell you how the last one was because I found it very engaging.

We were talking about gupminder.org, which is a platform where you can make a graph, in this case, to show the GDP per capita and life expectancy of all European countries.

The teacher, Petra, show us the graph you see in the picture and explain how to use the web. Then, she sent us an assignment. It consisted of making a graph about what we wanted, creating it (or searching it on internet), and commenting on it in writting.

I chose to do it on the golden, silver and bronzer medals won by Spain in the Olympic Games from 1992 to 2024. Being such a specific and fairly recent topic, I had to create my own graph. I used the tools that she taught me in class, and my final project ended like this:

Finally, I want you to know that in these classes we make several weekly tasks, which means that we are working all the time. I attach a photo of the information that I included in the document, so that you understand it better and take what you need. I hope you were interested!

I have also posted some images of other practices, so you can see what they were about.
